Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has predicted that Bayern Munich could be the team to stop Arsenal from winning four trophies this season. He believes the German giants have what it takes to eliminate the Gunners when both sides meet in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage.
Arsenal are currently competing on multiple fronts, including the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Champions League. Under manager Mikel Arteta, the club sits four points ahead of Manchester City in the league and is preparing to face them in the Carabao Cup final.
Hamann noted that Bayern have historically performed well against Arsenal in European competitions. Although he admitted the German side has dropped points recently, he maintained that if they regain top form, they would be favourites over two legs in the Champions League tie.
The former midfielder added that the clash would be exciting for fans, recalling how previous encounters between both clubs delivered thrilling action. With Arsenal chasing an ambitious quadruple, the upcoming fixture against Bayern Munich could prove decisive in shaping their season.
