Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reacted to growing talks about his possible move to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Adamawa State governor said he would listen to the wishes of his people if they decide that joining the ruling party is the best option for the state.
Fintiri explained that leadership is about serving the interest of the people. According to him, if the majority of stakeholders and residents believe that aligning with APC will bring more development and benefits to Adamawa, he would not stand against such a decision. He stressed that his priority remains the progress of the state.
The governor’s comment has fueled political discussions, especially as parties begin to strategize ahead of future elections. While he did not clearly confirm any plan to leave his current platform, his statement suggests that he is open to political realignment if it serves the greater good of his constituents.
Observers believe the development could reshape the political landscape in Adamawa and beyond. For now, Fintiri maintains that his loyalty lies with the people, promising to continue focusing on governance and delivering projects that improve lives across the state.
