The Labour Party has made it clear that it is not holding merger discussions with any political party ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party stated that it plans to stand on its own and contest future elections independently.

Party leaders explained that their focus is on strengthening internal structures and expanding support across the country rather than entering into alliances. According to them, the Labour Party believes it has the capacity to compete without forming coalitions or joining any political bloc.

The statement comes amid growing speculation about possible mergers and alliances among opposition parties preparing for 2027. However, the Labour Party insisted that its strategy is centered on building grassroots support and consolidating its achievements from previous elections.

The party encouraged its members and supporters to remain united and committed to its vision. It stressed that its independence would allow it to maintain its principles and present a clear alternative to Nigerians in the next general elections.
