Nigerian young striker Uchenna Ogundu has completed a permanent transfer to German Bundesliga club FC Augsburg from Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor. The 19-year-old forward makes the move after an impressive spell in Turkey, marking another big step in his fast-rising career.
Augsburg confirmed that Ogundu has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2031. The Bundesliga outfit clearly sees the teenager as a player for the future and part of their long-term plans as they continue to invest in young talent.
Ogundu’s rise has been swift and eye-catching. He only joined Alanyaspor last summer from Sanliurfaspor but quickly made his mark, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions. His performances attracted interest from abroad, leading to the move to Germany.
At Augsburg, the Nigerian striker will wear the number 39 jersey as he begins a new chapter in one of Europe’s top leagues. The transfer is seen as a major opportunity for Ogundu to develop further and showcase his potential on a bigger stage.
