Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared his emotions following his loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The singer admitted that the outcome affected him deeply and left him discouraged on the night of the ceremony.

In a post on his Instagram page, Davido revealed that he initially did not feel like attending the Grammy after-party after losing in the Best African Music Performance category. However, he said his wife, Chioma, stepped in with words of encouragement that helped lift his spirits and restore his confidence.

Davido praised Chioma for standing by him, describing her as his “ride or die.” He quoted her advice, saying she reminded him to remain humble in victory and gracious in defeat, a message that convinced him to step out and move forward positively.

Chioma also responded publicly, expressing her belief in Davido and reaffirming her love and support. DAILY POST reports that Davido lost the award to South African singer Tyla, but fans have continued to applaud his attitude and maturity after the loss.
