The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has denied claims that members of the Obidient movement are attempting to hijack the party’s structure. The party leadership described such reports as false and misleading, insisting that ADC remains open and inclusive to all Nigerians who share its ideals.
According to the Enugu ADC, the Obidient movement, known for its support base, has not made any move to take over the party at either the state or national level. Party officials explained that individuals joining ADC are doing so as ordinary members, in line with the party’s constitution and internal processes.
The party leadership stressed that ADC is built on democratic values and encourages broad participation without allowing any group to dominate or undermine its structure. They noted that membership growth should not be mistaken for an agenda to control the party.
Enugu ADC further called on the public to disregard rumours of internal crisis, assuring supporters that the party remains united and focused on strengthening its base ahead of future political engagements.
