Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has ordered a full investigation into a deadly attack on a community in the state, following reports of casualties and destruction. The governor expressed sadness over the incident and directed security agencies to immediately uncover those responsible and bring them to justice.

According to the state government, the attack caused panic among residents, with several homes reportedly affected. Governor Nwifuru condemned the violence and assured the affected community that his administration would not tolerate criminal acts that threaten peace and security in Ebonyi State.

He instructed security agencies to strengthen patrols in the area to prevent further attacks, while relief efforts were also considered for displaced residents. The governor emphasized that protecting lives and property remains a top priority of his government.

Governor Nwifuru also called on community leaders and residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information. He urged the public to remain calm, promising that justice would be served and that steps would be taken to prevent a repeat of such tragic incidents.
