AGN appoints BBNaija’s Tega as special adviser on sexual harassment

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has appointed Big Brother Naija star and actress, Tega Dominic, as Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment. The appointment was made by the newly elected AGN President, Abubakar Yakubu, and announced on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The development has attracted attention within the entertainment industry and among fans of the reality TV star.

The announcement was shared through the official Instagram story of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Tega later confirmed the news by posting her appointment letter on her own Instagram page. In her reaction, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to take the responsibility seriously, noting that the issue of sexual harassment requires firm and consistent action.

According to Tega, her role will focus on education, awareness, and accountability within the guild. She emphasized a zero-tolerance stance on sexual harassment, the protection and support of survivors, and the creation of safe and confidential reporting systems. She also stressed the need to promote a culture where respect is non-negotiable in the Nigerian film industry.

Tega Dominic rose to national prominence in 2021 after participating in the “Shine Ya Eye” edition of the BBNaija reality show. Since then, she has remained active in the entertainment space. Her appointment is seen as part of AGN’s efforts to address sexual misconduct and create a safer working environment for actors and actresses across the country.
