Gunmen have abducted a man and his wife during a late-night attack on a private residence in Mada town, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The incident has heightened fears among residents already troubled by repeated security breaches in the area.

The abduction was disclosed on Wednesday by security analyst Bakatsine in a post shared on X. According to him, armed men stormed a house in the Tukanawa area of Mada town and forcefully took away Alhaji Ali, also known as Ali Babureshi, along with his wife during the invasion.

The latest incident comes only days after children who were previously abducted from the same town were released, raising fresh concerns about the cycle of attacks in the community. Residents say the repeated incidents show that banditry remains a serious challenge in parts of Zamfara State.

As of the time of filing this report, security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the abduction. Meanwhile, locals are calling on authorities to intensify security efforts to prevent further attacks and restore confidence in affected communities.
