Asake extends his record as artiste with most entries in Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart

Nigerian music star Asake has further cemented his place in Afrobeats history by extending his record as the artiste with the highest number of entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. The singer has now reached an impressive total of 60 chart entries, setting a new benchmark for African artistes on the global platform.

The latest boost came from his collaboration with Wizkid on the song Jogodo, which climbed to a peak position of number four on the chart this week. The achievement highlights Asake’s consistency and strong appeal in the international music scene, especially within the Afrobeats genre that continues to gain global recognition.

Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla remains dominant on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart. Her track Channel has held firm at number one, reinforcing her influence after being named the top Afrobeats artiste for 2025. Tyla previously made history with Water, which spent a record 55 weeks at number one on the same chart.

In related chart success, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy also reached a major milestone this week. He secured his first top 20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 through his feature on Gunna’s song WGFT, which rose to number 16 after a remix featuring Chris Brown. Burna Boy has now become the first African artiste to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five straight years, from 2021 to 2025.
