Shooting Stars Sports Club are confident of picking all three points when they face Ikorodu City in Lagos this weekend, according to defender Al-Ameen Tijani.
The Oluyole Warriors will take on Ikorodu City in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 23 clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan. The encounter is expected to be keenly contested, with both teams eager to improve their positions on the league table.
Tijani said the Ibadan-based side is approaching the game with a strong desire for revenge. He recalled that Shooting Stars were held to a 1–1 draw by Ikorodu City in Ibadan earlier in the season, a result the players believe denied them full points.
“We are fully ready to get the maximum points against Ikorodu City in Lagos,” Tijani told the club’s media team. “When they came to Ibadan, we played 1–1, but this time we are ready to take back our points.” The defender added that the team’s focus and preparation ahead of the Lagos showdown remain very high.
