The Presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu is hale and hearty following a brief stumble during a ceremonial parade in Türkiye. Officials emphasized that the incident does not indicate any health issue and that the President remains in good condition.

According to the Presidency, the fall occurred due to a not well-laid blue carpet at the reception, which caused a minor loss of balance. Tinubu was quickly assisted by security personnel and the event continued without further disruption.

The Presidency reassured Nigerians and the international community that Tinubu has since resumed his official duties. He is currently engaged in bilateral meetings with Turkish authorities to discuss trade, investment, security, and regional cooperation.

Following the meetings, the President is expected to participate in a press conference alongside his Turkish counterparts, reaffirming the purpose of the visit and the ongoing cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye.
