Projects: No community is left behind in Kaduna – Uba Sani

Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed that no community is being neglected in Kaduna State, saying his administration is currently constructing 140 road projects across the 23 local government areas of the state. According to him, the projects cover about 1,335 kilometres and are evenly spread across the three senatorial districts to ensure balanced development. He stressed that all the roads were initiated by his government, while also pledging to complete inherited projects.

The governor spoke on Saturday while commissioning the asphalt road linking Durum and Kuruntumawa communities in Makarfi Local Government Area. He noted that the project, which was flagged off in September 2025, was completed to standard quality. Governor Sani recalled the years of hardship residents faced due to poor road access, explaining that farmers, traders, students, and patients were all affected by the bad condition of the road.

According to the governor, the Kuruntumawa–Durum road is more than just infrastructure, describing it as a lifeline that will ease the movement of farm produce, improve access to schools, and reduce delays in healthcare services. He added that the project reflects his campaign promise of inclusive governance and rural transformation, assuring that both rural and urban communities will benefit equally from development projects.

Governor Sani also revealed that Makarfi was among the 12 local governments that had not received a single kilometre of road construction in the last 12 years. He disclosed that the abandoned Makarfi General Hospital has been remodelled and equipped with modern facilities and will soon be commissioned. Community leaders praised the governor, describing him as a leader who keeps his promises and prioritises the welfare of rural dwellers.
