The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with a viral video showing an adult female being subjected to inhumane treatment. The video, which circulated widely on social media, depicts a young woman being confined and abused by unidentified individuals in Bauchi State. Authorities have identified the arrested person as the host of the gathering where the incident took place.

Police spokesperson SP Nafiu Abubakar confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the main perpetrators behind the degrading act. The command assured the public that all involved would be brought to justice once identified.

Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, condemned the act as barbaric and urged those fleeing to surrender immediately. He emphasized that the police are committed to pursuing all suspects and ensuring lawful prosecution against anyone found guilty of the abuse.
