The Department of State Services (DSS) has successfully rescued two pastors who were kidnapped in Kaduna State. The security agency also arrested three suspects linked to the abduction during the operation, bringing relief to the victims’ families and church members.
According to security sources, the rescue followed intelligence-led operations carried out by DSS operatives. The pastors were reportedly held in captivity for days before being freed without harm. Authorities said the suspects arrested are currently in custody for further investigation.
The DSS described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and insecurity in Kaduna State. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, especially religious leaders who have increasingly become targets of criminal gangs.
Residents of the area have welcomed the development, calling it a boost to security efforts in the state. They urged security agencies to sustain the momentum and ensure that those responsible for kidnapping and other crimes are brought to justice.
