Zamfara: My supporters being denied membership – Shinkafi writes APC National Chairman

Former governor of Zamfara State, Sani Shinkafi, has written to the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over what he described as the deliberate denial of party membership to his supporters in the state. He said many people who want to join the party are being turned back unfairly.

Shinkafi explained that his supporters have visited registration centres across different local government areas, but party officials have refused to register them without clear reasons. He warned that such actions could weaken the party’s growth and discourage genuine supporters from participating in its activities.

According to him, the APC was formed to promote inclusion and fairness, and blocking willing members contradicts the party’s founding values. He appealed to the national chairman to intervene quickly and ensure that the registration process is transparent and open to all interested Nigerians in Zamfara.

Shinkafi stressed that the party must avoid internal divisions ahead of future elections. He called on the APC leadership to restore confidence among members and ensure that everyone who wants to be part of the party is treated equally and with respect.
