A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Eze, has said that the party’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election is still open and has not been given to anyone. He advised Peter Obi and members of the Obidient Movement not to create tension or internal conflict within the party over the issue.
Eze explained that the ADC is focused on building unity and strengthening its structures ahead of the next general election. According to him, any attempt by individuals or groups to pressure the party leadership or claim ownership of the ticket could damage the party’s chances in 2027.
He urged party members and supporters to allow the internal democratic process to run its course. He added that the ADC will follow its constitution and party rules in selecting its candidates, and everyone will have a fair chance when the time comes.
The ADC leader stressed that the party welcomes Peter Obi and his supporters but warned that peace and cooperation must come first. He called on all members to work together to grow the party and present a strong alternative to Nigerians in the next election.
