The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has explained the cause of the recent power outage affecting parts of the Federal Capital Territory. According to the company, the disruption was linked to an unexpected system disturbance that affected several transmission lines.
AEDC assured consumers that repair teams were immediately deployed to restore electricity and minimize inconvenience. The company noted that such technical issues, while rare, are sometimes unavoidable in large power networks.
The utility provider also appealed to residents to exercise patience and avoid tampering with electrical equipment during outages. AEDC emphasized that safety measures are a priority and that power restoration works follow strict protocols.
By evening, AEDC reported that electricity supply had been fully restored to all affected areas. The company urged consumers to report any further disruptions through official channels and assured continuous efforts to improve service reliability in Abuja.
