Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has dismissed the growing alliance of former governors Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu, describing their move against his administration as “empty barrels making noise.” He said the opposition figures are only trying to stay relevant politically.
Otti explained that his government is focused on delivering development to the people of Abia and not on political distractions. According to him, no amount of criticism or political gang-up will stop his administration from continuing with its plans.
The governor also noted that the people of Abia can clearly see the difference between past leadership and the current government, especially in areas such as infrastructure, public finance, and service delivery. He said this is why political attacks do not worry him.
Otti urged residents to ignore what he described as unnecessary political drama and instead judge leaders by their performance. He added that his administration remains committed to transparency, accountability, and improving the lives of the people of Abia State.
