A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nataro, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to make efforts to bring former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, back into the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections. He said El-Rufai’s experience and political influence could help strengthen the APC and improve its chances at the polls.

Nataro explained that El-Rufai played a major role in building the APC and should not be left outside the party at a critical time when unity is needed. He noted that internal disagreements should be resolved through dialogue, adding that reconciliation would make the party more stable and attractive to voters.

He also argued that bringing El-Rufai back would help reduce internal tensions and prevent divisions that opposition parties could exploit. According to him, the APC needs all its experienced hands to face the political challenges expected in 2027.

Nataro therefore urged President Tinubu to personally intervene and encourage peace within the party. He stressed that unity, forgiveness and cooperation among party leaders are key to keeping the APC strong and competitive in the coming elections.
