Nigerian troops have neutralised suspected kidnappers and recovered dangerous weapons during a security operation in parts of Plateau State. The operation was carried out after intelligence reports linked the suspects to recent cases of abduction and violent attacks in the area.
According to security sources, the troops engaged the criminals during a coordinated raid, forcing them to flee and abandoning their weapons. Several arms and ammunition were recovered, helping to weaken the group’s ability to carry out further attacks on innocent residents.
The military said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and protect communities across Plateau State. Residents were encouraged to cooperate with security agencies by sharing useful information that can help stop criminal activities.
Authorities assured the public that more operations will continue in affected areas until kidnappers and other violent groups are completely removed. They also urged citizens to remain calm and support the security forces in their mission to keep lives and property safe.
