PDP in crisis, can’t woo Peter Obi – Obidient Movement

The Obidient Movement has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently too divided and unstable to attract former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. According to the movement, the PDP is struggling with internal conflicts, leadership disputes, and loss of public confidence, making it an unattractive option for Obi or any serious political figure at the moment.

The group explained that Peter Obi’s political philosophy is based on discipline, accountability, and clear leadership, which they claim are missing within the PDP today. They argued that Obi is more focused on building a credible political platform rather than joining a party battling internal crises and frequent defections.

Members of the movement also dismissed speculations that Obi is in talks with the PDP, saying there are no such discussions ongoing. They described the reports as political rumours aimed at creating confusion among supporters and weakening the reform agenda associated with Obi’s movement.

The Obidient Movement urged Nigerians to ignore what it called “baseless political stories” and instead focus on the need for stronger institutions and responsible leadership. They added that Peter Obi remains committed to issue-based politics and national development rather than party-switching for personal ambition.
