Why I chose ADC over APC – Defected Edo Rep

A member of the House of Representatives from Edo State has explained why he decided to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) and join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The lawmaker said his decision was guided by the party’s principles, commitment to good governance, and alignment with his vision for his constituents.

The Edo lawmaker noted that ADC’s focus on grassroots development, transparency, and inclusivity resonated with him more than the politics in his former party. He emphasized that his move was not based on personal ambition but on serving the people effectively.

He also criticized internal conflicts and factional disputes in APC, which he claimed hindered progress and undermined the party’s capacity to meet the needs of Edo residents. According to him, ADC offered a platform to deliver on promises and create meaningful impact.

The lawmaker urged colleagues and stakeholders to prioritize ideology, service, and accountability over party loyalty alone. He added that the people’s welfare must guide political decisions and pledged to work tirelessly under ADC to fulfill his campaign promises.
