EPL: Man Utd contact three former players to replace Amorim

Manchester United have reportedly reached out to three of their former players as they search for a new manager following the departure of Ruben Amorim. The club is currently exploring both short-term and long-term options to stabilise the team for the rest of the season.

According to reports, United have held talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick about a possible return to Old Trafford. At the same time, Darren Fletcher has been approached to take charge of the team on a caretaker basis while the club decides on a permanent solution.

Sources say the club is considering a management team made up of Fletcher, Solskjaer and Carrick working together until the end of the season. Although an interim appointment is the immediate plan, United are open to naming a full-time manager if the right candidate becomes available.

The move shows United’s desire to rely on familiar faces who understand the club’s culture and expectations. Fans are now waiting to see whether the club will choose a short-term fix or make a bold decision with a permanent appointment.
