Rivers no go area, your hand will burn’ — Wike warns Senator Basiru over Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to Senator Basiru, cautioning him against interfering in the affairs of the state. Wike stated that Rivers is a “no-go area” for those attempting to undermine Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration.

Speaking at a political event, Wike warned that anyone trying to meddle in Rivers politics would face serious consequences. He stressed that the people of the state and the government would not tolerate external interference or political sabotage.

The warning comes amid rising tensions between Wike and Fubara, following disagreements over political alignments and party loyalty. Wike emphasized that loyalty to the state’s leadership is non-negotiable, and attempts to destabilize governance would be met with strong resistance.

Senator Basiru has not publicly responded to the statement. However, political watchers in Rivers State say the feud highlights the ongoing struggle for influence ahead of future elections in the state.
