Police recruitment: Application is free, don’t pay cyber cafes, agents – PSC

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has warned the public that applying for the ongoing police recruitment exercise is completely free. Citizens are advised not to pay cyber cafes, agents, or intermediaries to submit applications on their behalf.

In a statement released on Monday, the commission urged applicants to submit their forms only via the official PSC website. The warning comes after reports emerged that some unscrupulous individuals were demanding fees from unsuspecting candidates.

The PSC emphasized that any form of payment to third parties is illegal and may disqualify applicants from the recruitment process. It further urged parents, guardians, and job seekers to be cautious and report anyone attempting to exploit the recruitment exercise.

The commission reassured the public that the recruitment process is transparent and merit-based, and all eligible candidates have equal opportunity to participate. Applicants are encouraged to read official guidelines carefully before submitting forms to avoid mistakes.
