Following Peter Obi’s defection, Phrank Shaibu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that the party is determined to remove President Bola Tinubu from power in the 2027 general elections. Shaibu emphasized that the ADC is prepared to mobilize its supporters to achieve this political objective.

Shaibu added that Obi’s move has opened opportunities for alternative parties like the ADC to strengthen their presence and challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in key states. He stated that the party will focus on providing Nigerians with better governance options.

He further stressed that the ADC is committed to ensuring a fair political process and will engage citizens nationwide to build momentum ahead of the 2027 elections. The party intends to capitalize on voter dissatisfaction and the growing demand for change.

Finally, Shaibu reassured Nigerians that the ADC’s mission is not just about party politics but about creating an inclusive government that addresses citizens’ needs and removes inefficiency in leadership, with the ultimate goal of replacing the current administration.
