The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a hidden warehouse in Ogun State where 347 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa were stored. The discovery was made during an intelligence-led operation aimed at stopping illegal drug distribution in the state.
Officials said the warehouse was being used as a storage and distribution point for the illegal substance before it was moved to other locations. NDLEA officers moved in quickly, sealed off the area, and recovered all the drugs without resistance.
The agency confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the people behind the operation. NDLEA said the seizure is part of its wider campaign to reduce drug abuse and dismantle criminal drug networks across the country.
Residents in the area welcomed the development and praised NDLEA for taking action against drug trafficking. The agency has urged the public to continue providing information that can help stop illegal drug activities in their communities.
