Anthony Joshua involved in road accident in Ogun

World-renowned British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious road accident on Monday in Makun, Ogun State, along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Eyewitnesses said the Lexus SUV carrying Joshua struck a stationary truck near a popular filling station on the expressway while travelling with his team. The exact cause of the crash is still being looked into by local authorities and investigators. 

Reports from those at the scene say that the vehicle’s impact was strong, but Joshua escaped with only minor injuries. Emergency crews and helpers pulled him from the wreckage shortly after the collision, and he was checked for any serious wounds. Officials have not yet released a full medical update on Joshua’s condition. 

Tragically, two people in the accident died immediately at the scene, officials and witnesses confirmed. Their identities have not been publicly announced, and rescue workers transported the injured to nearby hospitals.
