A resident of a community in Sokoto State has narrated the frightening moment when a bomb reportedly dropped during a US military operation hit the area. The resident said people were caught unaware as a loud explosion suddenly shook the community, forcing many to run for safety in fear and confusion.

According to the eyewitness, the sound of the blast was extremely loud and caused panic among residents, especially women and children. Many people rushed out of their homes, not knowing what was happening or whether another explosion would follow.

The resident said although the operation was meant to target terrorists, innocent people living in nearby communities were badly shaken by the incident. He appealed to the authorities to always consider the safety of civilians during security operations and to properly inform communities when such actions are planned.

He also called on the government to provide support and reassurance to residents affected by the incident, stressing that people now live in fear and need protection, information, and emotional support to recover from the shock.
