The Presidency has denied reports claiming that Femi Gbajabiamila has been removed as President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff. Officials described the story as false and misleading, saying there has been no change in the President’s top aides.
A statement from the Presidency explained that Gbajabiamila continues to perform his duties and remains fully in office. It urged the public to ignore the rumor, noting that it was spread by unreliable sources on social media and some online platforms.
The government also warned against the growing trend of fake news, especially when it concerns sensitive political positions. It said such false reports can create unnecessary tension and confusion among Nigerians.
The Presidency advised citizens to always verify information through official government channels before believing or sharing it. It reassured Nigerians that any real changes in government appointments would be announced formally and transparently.
