Yuletide: TRACE deploys ‘operations safe, driving’ to Ogun 18 major corridors

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) has rolled out a special safety operation ahead of the Yuletide season. The initiative, tagged “Operation Safe Driving,” is aimed at reducing road crashes and ensuring smooth movement during the busy festive period.

TRACE officials said officers have been deployed to 18 major traffic corridors across the state. These routes are known for heavy traffic, especially during holidays when many people travel to celebrate with family and friends.

According to the agency, the operation will focus on traffic control, enforcement of road safety rules, and public awareness on responsible driving. Motorists were advised to avoid speeding, reckless overtaking, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

TRACE also urged road users to cooperate with officers on duty, noting that the goal is to save lives and make the Yuletide period accident-free. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to safer roads before, during, and after the festive celebrations.
