Plateau Killings: ‘Enough is enough, we must respond to terror attacks’ – BYM President

The President of the Berom Youth Moulders (BYM) has strongly condemned the recent killings in Plateau State, saying the time has come for decisive action against repeated terror attacks. Speaking after reports of fresh violence in affected communities, the youth leader described the situation as unacceptable and warned that continued silence could worsen insecurity in the state.

According to the BYM President, innocent residents have suffered for too long due to attacks by armed groups, with many families displaced and livelihoods destroyed. He stressed that Plateau State cannot continue to record losses without firm responses from security agencies and government authorities. He called for urgent steps to protect lives and restore confidence among residents.

The youth leader urged the federal and state governments to strengthen security operations, improve intelligence gathering, and ensure those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice. He also appealed for closer collaboration between local communities and security forces, noting that peace can only be achieved when early warnings are taken seriously.

Concluding, the BYM President emphasized that young people in Plateau are ready to support lawful efforts aimed at ending violence. He called on leaders at all levels to show political will, address the root causes of insecurity, and work towards lasting peace in the state, saying Plateau deserves safety, justice, and development.
