The Kano State Police Command has reassured residents of adequate security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The police said they have put strong measures in place to protect lives and property across the state as people prepare to celebrate the festive season.

According to the command, officers have been deployed to major roads, worship centres, markets, recreational spots, and other public places. The police explained that patrols have been increased, while intelligence-led operations are ongoing to prevent crime and ensure quick response to any threat.

They advised parents and guardians to caution their children and wards to stay away from crime and avoid dangerous gatherings during the celebrations.
