The Kano State Police Command has reassured residents of adequate security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The police said they have put strong measures in place to protect lives and property across the state as people prepare to celebrate the festive season.
According to the command, officers have been deployed to major roads, worship centres, markets, recreational spots, and other public places. The police explained that patrols have been increased, while intelligence-led operations are ongoing to prevent crime and ensure quick response to any threat.
The police leadership also urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious movements or activities in their communities. They advised parents and guardians to caution their children and wards to stay away from crime and avoid dangerous gatherings during the celebrations.
Reaffirming their commitment, the Kano police assured the public that the festive period will be peaceful. Residents were encouraged to celebrate responsibly and support the efforts of security agencies to maintain law and order throughout Christmas and the New Year.
