Police launch crime-free Christmas campaign in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has launched a crime-free Christmas campaign aimed at ensuring residents enjoy the festive season in peace and safety. The initiative focuses on preventing crime and maintaining law and order across the state during the holidays.

According to the police, officers have been deployed to major roads, markets, worship centres, and public places to discourage criminal activities. The command said increased patrols and surveillance will help protect lives and property throughout the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The police also called on residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information and reporting any suspicious movements. Community leaders and youth groups have been encouraged to support the campaign to help maintain a peaceful environment.
