Yobe police foil Boko Haram attack on Gujba station

Police officers in Yobe State have successfully stopped an attempted attack by suspected Boko Haram fighters on the Gujba Police Division in Gujba Local Government Area. The incident reportedly happened late on Thursday night when the attackers tried to overrun the police facility.

According to a security update shared by analyst Zagazola Makama, officers on duty reacted swiftly and engaged the assailants before they could cause damage. The quick response of the police forced the attackers to retreat from the area without achieving their aim.

Sources confirmed that no police officer was injured during the confrontation. In addition, no firearms were lost and patrol vehicles at the station were not damaged, showing that the situation was brought under control in good time.

The Divisional Police Officer in Gujba is said to be carrying out a detailed review of the incident and will submit a full report to the Yobe State Police Command. As of the time of reporting, the police command had not released an official statement on the foiled attack.
