The Jigawa State Government has approved a total of ₦91 billion for major development projects across the state. The funds are expected to be used mainly for road construction, power supply, and other critical infrastructure aimed at improving living conditions for residents. Officials say the approval shows the government’s commitment to economic growth and public welfare.
According to the state authorities, a significant portion of the approved amount will go into road projects linking urban and rural communities. These roads are expected to ease transportation, support farmers in moving their produce, and boost local businesses. The government believes better roads will help reduce travel time and improve safety.
Another key focus of the spending plan is electricity and power-related projects. The state plans to invest in improving power supply to support small businesses, schools, and healthcare facilities. Reliable electricity, the government noted, is essential for job creation and attracting investors to the state.
The Jigawa government assured residents that the projects will be carefully monitored to ensure quality and value for money. It added that the investments are part of a broader development strategy to strengthen infrastructure, create jobs, and improve the overall standard of living across the state.
