Fintiri presents N583bn 2026 budget proposal to Adamawa Assembly

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has presented a ₦583 billion budget proposal for the 2026 fiscal year to the Adamawa State House of Assembly. The governor said the proposed budget is designed to boost economic growth, improve infrastructure, and strengthen social services across the state.

According to Governor Fintiri, the 2026 budget focuses on key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and security. He explained that more funds have been allocated to capital projects to ensure the completion of ongoing developments and the start of new ones that will directly benefit residents.

The governor urged lawmakers to carefully study the proposal and give it prompt consideration in the interest of the people. He stressed that the budget reflects his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, job creation, and sustainable development in Adamawa State.

In response, members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly commended the governor for presenting the budget on time. They assured him that the Assembly would carry out a thorough review and work together with the executive arm to ensure the budget meets the needs of citizens.
