Super Eagles defenders Chidozie Awaziem and midfielder Alhassan Yusuf Lawal have arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to join Nigeria’s camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Their arrival has increased the number of players in camp to 24, bringing the team closer to full strength.
Officials confirmed that the duo touched down after completing travel arrangements with their respective clubs. They were immediately received by team officials and medical staff before settling into camp activities, including light training and recovery sessions.
With most invited players now present, the coaching crew is expected to intensify preparations. Training sessions are focusing on tactics, fitness, and team chemistry as Nigeria aims to make a strong impression at AFCON 2025.
