Former Premier League goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has warned Arsenal and Manchester City to be careful this season, saying there are other teams quietly emerging as serious title contenders. According to him, the title race is no longer a two-horse battle.
Schmeichel explained that some clubs have shown consistency, discipline, and strong squad depth, which makes them dangerous as the season progresses. He noted that these teams may not always dominate headlines, but their steady performances could put them in a strong position later.
The former Denmark international added that Arsenal and Man City cannot afford to drop points easily. He stressed that any slip could be costly, especially with rivals waiting to take advantage of mistakes.
Schmeichel believes the Premier League title race will go down to the final weeks. He urged fans to expect surprises, saying the competition this season is tougher than many people think.
