The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has raised serious concerns over what it describes as the ongoing killing of Christians in different parts of Nigeria. The church said repeated attacks on Christian communities, especially in the North and Middle Belt, show a pattern that should not be ignored by authorities.
ECWA leaders stated that churches have been destroyed, villages attacked, and many worshippers killed or displaced over the years. According to the church, these incidents are not isolated but follow a troubling trend that has continued despite several government assurances on security.
The church called on the Federal Government to urgently review its security strategy and protect vulnerable communities. ECWA also urged international bodies, human rights organisations, and religious leaders worldwide to pay closer attention to the situation in Nigeria.
While calling for justice for victims, ECWA stressed the need for peace and unity among Nigerians. The church said addressing insecurity fairly and decisively would help restore confidence and prevent further loss of innocent lives.
