Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has cast his vote in the ongoing local government elections in Mafa Local Government Area. The governor arrived at his polling unit early and completed the voting process without any disruption.
After voting, Governor Zulum expressed satisfaction with how the election was being conducted. He praised the calm atmosphere at the polling centre and noted that voters were able to exercise their civic rights freely and peacefully.
The governor also commended security agencies and election officials for maintaining order and ensuring that the process remained smooth. According to him, adequate security arrangements helped boost voter confidence across the area.
Zulum encouraged residents to continue participating peacefully in the election and urged them to avoid violence. He stressed that local government elections are important for grassroots development and called on all stakeholders to respect the outcome of the polls.
