Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed deep concern over the fire outbreak that occurred at the Rogo General Hospital. He described the incident as unfortunate and assured residents that the government is taking immediate steps to assess the level of damage. The governor said his administration prioritises the safety of all citizens and will not overlook such an incident.
Governor Yusuf also stated that a full investigation has been ordered to find out the cause of the fire. According to him, it is important to understand what triggered the incident to prevent a repeat in any other health facility across the state. He added that the government will work closely with emergency agencies to get a detailed report.
The governor praised the quick response of the hospital staff and firefighters who helped stop the fire from spreading further. He acknowledged their effort in ensuring that no major casualties were recorded. Yusuf noted that their swift action saved lives and protected important hospital equipment.
He assured the people of Rogo that the damaged sections of the hospital will be repaired as soon as possible. Governor Yusuf promised that healthcare services will continue without interruption, and all necessary support will be provided to restore the hospital fully. He urged residents to remain calm while the government handles the situation.
