The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has reaffirmed its commitment to building houses for judges, a move aimed at strengthening the judiciary. Governor Nyesom Wike praised President Tinubu for supporting this initiative, emphasizing the importance of adequate housing for judicial officers.
According to Wike, providing accommodation for judges enhances their welfare and contributes to better judicial performance. He noted that comfortable living conditions help judges focus on their duties and reduce distractions.
President Tinubu’s backing of the project demonstrates the federal government’s dedication to improving the judiciary’s infrastructure. Wike expressed hope that other states will also prioritize similar measures to boost the justice system nationwide.
The initiative is expected to foster a more efficient and independent judiciary, reinforcing public trust and promoting the rule of law across Nigeria.
