Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has rejected claims that his administration is responsible for the ongoing strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN). He said the state government has shown commitment to resolving workers’ issues and should not be blamed for the situation.
The governor explained that the strike is linked to long-standing issues in the judiciary, some of which began before his administration took office. According to him, efforts are already in place to address the concerns through dialogue and lawful processes.
Adeleke added that his government respects the independence of the judiciary and has continued to engage union leaders to find a lasting solution. He urged JUSUN members to remain calm while discussions continue behind the scenes.
The governor also appealed to the public for patience, assuring residents that his administration is working to ensure courts reopen as soon as possible. He maintained that peaceful negotiation, not blame games, is the best way to end the strike.
