30 injured as powerful 7.5 earthquake strikes Northern Japan

At least 30 people were injured after a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck northern Japan on Tuesday. The quake shook buildings violently and caused panic among residents in affected areas. Emergency services were quickly deployed to assess damage and assist those hurt during the incident.

Reports say several homes and public facilities suffered structural damage, while roads and power lines were temporarily disrupted. Hospitals treated victims mostly for minor injuries such as cuts and fractures caused by falling objects. Authorities also warned residents to remain alert due to possible aftershocks.

The Japanese government activated disaster response teams and urged people to follow safety instructions. Schools and offices in some areas were closed as inspections continued. Officials confirmed that there was no immediate threat of a tsunami, easing fears along coastal communities.

Japan is located on the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” making earthquakes a common occurrence. While the country is well prepared for seismic activity, powerful tremors like this still pose serious risks. Authorities say further updates will be released as rescue and assessment operations continue.
