The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 44 suspects in Edo State for drug-related offenses. During coordinated operations, the agency seized over 2,059 kilograms of various illicit substances.

NDLEA officials revealed that the seized drugs included cannabis, cocaine, and other controlled substances. The suspects are now facing prosecution under Nigeria’s strict anti-drug laws.

The agency emphasized its commitment to curbing drug trafficking in Edo and across the country. Officials also called on the public to report any suspicious activities to aid in the fight against illegal drugs.

Community leaders and residents have lauded the operation, urging continued vigilance to prevent the proliferation of narcotics and protect young people from drug abuse.
