We are yet to receive his letter – Turaki on Adeleke’s resignation

The political camp of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has confirmed that they have not yet received the official resignation letter from former gubernatorial aspirant, Adewale Adeleke. Party spokesman Turaki clarified that until the letter is formally submitted, the party cannot take any official action.

Turaki emphasized that the PDP remains calm and committed to due process, assuring members that all procedures will be followed once Adeleke’s resignation is formally received. The party also urged supporters to maintain peace and avoid speculation.

Political analysts suggest that Adeleke’s resignation could reshape the dynamics of the Osun 2026 governorship race, as other aspirants may now see opportunities to consolidate support within the party. Meanwhile, party leaders are reportedly reviewing strategies to maintain unity among stakeholders.

The PDP has called for patience and cooperation from members and the public, stressing that all political moves will be handled transparently and in line with party regulations. The focus remains on ensuring a smooth primary process for the upcoming elections.
