Ogun Assembly resolves over 100 disputes, seeks special court for land grabbing cases

The Ogun State House of Assembly has resolved more than 100 disputes affecting residents across the state. Lawmakers stated that most of the cases involved land disagreements, family conflicts, and other civil matters. The assembly emphasized its commitment to promoting peace and justice within the communities.

During the session, the assembly urged the state government to establish a special court to handle land grabbing and related disputes. They argued that a dedicated court would speed up justice delivery, reduce conflicts, and ensure proper management of land-related issues in Ogun State.

The lawmakers highlighted the rising cases of land grabbing, which have become a serious concern for residents. They stressed that many families and individuals have lost properties due to illegal claims, making the need for specialized legal intervention urgent.

Residents have welcomed the assembly’s efforts, hoping that the proposed special court will provide timely resolutions and prevent further conflicts. The assembly also encouraged citizens to report disputes early to ensure they are resolved effectively.
