The Jigawa State Government has announced a deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete their payments for the 2026 Hajj. According to officials, the deadline is meant to help the state prepare early and ensure all travel arrangements are properly organized. This step follows new guidelines from the National Hajj Commission, which encourages states to finalize preparations ahead of time.
The Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board explained that early payment will make it easier to secure accommodation, transportation, and other essential services in Saudi Arabia. They also warned that late payments may cause delays or even prevent some people from participating in the Hajj exercise. The board urged interested Muslims to take the deadline seriously.
Officials further noted that the cost of the Hajj fare may increase later due to changes in foreign exchange rates and service charges. By paying early, pilgrims can avoid possible adjustments in the final price. The government assured that all payments made before the deadline will remain valid, regardless of any future price changes.
Community leaders and religious groups have joined the call, encouraging Muslims planning to travel for Hajj to comply with the payment schedule. They believe early preparation brings peace of mind and helps avoid the last-minute rush that often stresses pilgrims. The state says it is committed to providing a smooth and well-organized Hajj experience in 2026.
